About the Artist

Dayle Goertzen, Owner of Vintage Bling. Photo by Erin Alexander Photography.Hi, I’m Dayle Goertzen, a Canadian jewelry designer with a passion for everything vintage. I’m always fascinated thinking about the stories I would hear if these treasures could talk. This translates naturally to a passion for vintage jewelry. Over the years I’ve gathered an extensive collection of vintage costume jewelry. Inevitably, the desire was sparked to reclaim these beautiful old pieces and transform them into contemporary designs with nostalgic flavour. Many of the components I use have been well loved and aged, but rather than being discarded I offer them a new lease on life.I am also very proud of Vintage Bling for contributing toward our environmental "green" consciousness by recycling and repurposing these pieces that have beauty and history from bygone days. Going beyond that, a portion of the proceeds are donated to many benevolent organizations.  Vintage Bling has provided a fish farm, a grove of fruit trees and fresh water well for a community in the Congo, Africa. Vintage Bling also gives back within the immediate community of Winnipeg through organizations such as The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Children’s Wish Foundation, The Cancer Society, Women’s organizations and many more.

Vintage Bling had its first introduction to Hollywood in 2008 at the Oscar Gifting Suites where it received rave reviews. Then in 2010 I had the delightful opportunity to showcase Vintage Bling at the Golden Globes Oh Canada gifting suites where this unique line of jewelry was an instant hit among celebrities and stylists alike. It was very exciting to see Elena Levon photographed wearing Vintage Bling on the Red Carpet and alongside Quentin Tarantino and Marion Cotillard (who also owns a Vintage Bling bracelet) at the After Parties. On the same Red Carpet, Lisa Frietas was photographed wearing Vintage Bling together with Leonardo DiCaprio.  In 2013 I participated in the DPA Gifting suite at TIFF - Toronto International Film Festival. Once again Vintage Bling was a huge hit among the celebs on account of it being so perfectly Red Carpet ready.  Many of them graciously accepted their gift proclaiming that they would be wearing it on the Red Carpet that evening and/or to the late night star studded parties. Go to the 'Celebrity' page on my website to find out which celebs can be seen around Hollywood wearing Vintage Bling.

Vintage Bling is worn and enjoyed by many personalities in both the film and music industries, but more importantly it is a chosen and loved adornment in the everyday personal lives of countless women in North America and beyond, enriching their style and flare.

With every one-of-a-kind design that I create, my greatest joy is knowing that you will experience remarkable pleasure in adding Vintage Bling to your selection of jewelry as you create your own personal style.

I am committed to doing my part for our environment by re-claiming and re-using beautiful jewelry components of yesterday to design relevant and fashion-forward pieces for today's woman.

From this creative collision of two worlds evolves accessories that are contemporary, yet inspired by a passion for vintage flavor and nostalgia.

Creating Vintage Bling is an expression of my soul. It releases pleasures that indulge a sense of satisfaction and joy. May you find this to be infectious as Vintage Bling becomes an element of your personal style.
